MARDIN (TURCHIA) – Angelina Jolie visita il campo profughi di Mardin, in Turchia. L’attrice, che ha da poco compiuto i 40 anni (GUARDA TUTTE LE FOTO), ha tenuto fede ai suoi impegni umanitari in veste di ambasciatrice di buona volontà dell’Unhcr. “Viviamo in un mondo contraddistinto da esodi di massa”. Con queste parole la Jolie ha commentato la sua visita ad un campo di profughi siriani nel sud-est della Turchia in occasione della giornata mondiale dei rifugiati.
Accompagnata dall’Alto Commissario delle Nazioni Unite Antonio Guterres, la moglie di Brad Pitt ha affermato di “non avere mai visto così tante persone private dei loro diritti umani”. La tappa odierna a Mardin è l’ultima di una serie di viaggi che la star di Hollywood ha compiuto in Turchia in veste di rappresentante dell’Onu. “La gente sta scappando dai luoghi da cui è costretta a farlo – ha aggiunto – bisogna essere aperti e tolleranti con coloro che non potranno mai più tornare alle proprie abitazioni”.
