PARIGI – Dopo l’annuncio dei primi risultati ufficiali del voto delle elezioni presidenziali in Francia, l’ormai ex leader del paese, Nicolas Sarkozy ha ammesso la sconfitta, e con essa la vittoria del socialista Francois Hollande, “Francois Hollande è stato eletto presidente della Francia, è necessario rispettare tale scelta.”
Dal canto suo il socialista Francois Holland ha salutato la sua vittoria alle elezioni presidenziali dichiarando: “La Francia ha scelto il cambiamento”. Holland ha vinto con il 51,67% contro il 48,33% del presidente uscente Nicolas Sarkozy.
“Questa notte vi è una sola Francia, una sola nazione, unita nello stesso destino. Sarò il presidente di tutti”, ha promesso Hollande, che ha aspettato i risultati nella sua roccaforte rurale della Correze, ma ha poi festeggiato nella notte a Parigi con decine di migliaia di sostenitori riuniti a place de la Bastille.
