LOS ANGELES – Stando a tutte le previsioni e alla quindicina di premi vinti, dal Golden Globe al Bafta, sembra arrivato il momento di Julianne Moore agli Oscar. I premi verranno assegnati domenica 22 febbraio (in Italia in diretta su Sky Cinema Oscar HD dalle 22.50 e in contemporanea in chiaro su Cielo). L’attrice è in gara per aver dato volto con incredibile intensità a un cinquantenne colpita da Alzheimer precoce in Still Alice. Tuttavia non mancano le avversarie di talento: Rosamund Pike, dark lady nell’Amore bugiardo; due interpreti che una statuetta l’hanno già vinta, Marion Cotillard, in corsa con Due giorni, una notte e Reese Witherspoon con Wild, insieme all’emergente Felicity Jones per La teoria del tutto.
“La più grande attrice americana vivente che non ha ancora vinto un Oscar”, così Wash Westmoreland, coregista con Richard Glatzer di Still Alice, ha definito Julianne Moore, arrivata con questa a cinque candidature: le altre le aveva avute, come non protagonista, nel 1998 per Boogie Nights e nel 2003 per The hours, e come protagonista, nel 2000 per Fine di una storia e sempre nel 2003 per Lontano dal paradiso.
