SHANGHAI (CINA) – Huang Xingqiao, 99 anni, ha presentato la sua candidatura come giocatore di tennis più vecchio della Cina allo Shanghai Great World Guinness Records, l’equivalente cinese del Guinness World Records.
Xingqiao, che martedì 23 ottobre ha partecipato ad un ennesimo torneo di tennis che si è svolto a Chengdu nella provincia di Sichuan, racconta di aver iniziato a giocare a tennis all’età di 18 anni. Il suo scopo è battere il precedente record, che appartiene ad un uomo di 94 anni (LaPresse):

Huang Xingqiao, 99 years old, has submitted his application to the Shanghai Great World Guinness Records, the Chinese equivalent to the Guinness World Records, as the oldest tennis player in China, also as a gift to himself for the Double Ninth Festival which falls on Tuesday (23 October 2012). He started to play tennis at the age of 18. The previous record holder was 94 years old.
