GRETNA GREEN (REGNO UNITO) – A Gretna Green, località inglese che si trova al confine con la Scozia, mercoledì 5 novembre è stata “invasa” da stormi di migliaia di uccelli. Le foto che mostrano le forme che assumono questi migliaia di uccelli danzando oin perfetta sincronia tra loro, sono spettacolari.
Il fenomeno non ha ancora una spiegazione scientifica. Tra le ipotesi in campo, c’è chi sostiene che gli uccelli si muovano in stormi disegnando forme particolari per difendersi dai predatori. Altri esperti ritengono invece che questo modo di disporsi sia utile ad attrarre nella formazione migratoria altri uccelli in volo.
