MADRID – Oltre 50mila persone si sono lanciate 120 tonnellate di pomodori oggi 29 agosto alla tradizionale festa della ‘Tomatina’, che si celebra ogni anno a Bunol, vicino a Valencia. C’è stato un record di presenze, con oltre 10mila persone in rispetto alle scorse edizioni e nessun incidente, se si escludono gli 8 contusi lievi medicati dai servizi sanitari, secondo il bilancio del portavoce del municipio, Rafael Perez.
La festa è cominciata intorno alle 11,30, con mezz’ora di ritardo sul previsto, quanto è arrivato il primo camion carico di pomodori. Turisti provenienti da Giappone, Corea del Sud, Canada o Nuova Zelanda, assieme ai tanti europei, alcuni mascherati da chef o da conigliette di Playboy, molti con occhiali da sub per proteggere gli occhi dal succo di pomodoro, hanno cominciato la battaglia con l’ ‘oro rosso’ di Bunol.
