BUCAREST (ROMANIA) – Bandiera da record in Romania. Nel villaggio di Clinceni, 35 chilometri a sudest di Bucarest, è stato srotolato oggi un drappo di 349 metri per 227 e il Guinnes dei primati ha certificato che si tratta della più grande bandiera mai cucita al mondo. Grande tre volte un campo da calcio, la bandiera della Romania (con i colori rosso, giallo e blu) occupa una superficie di 79.290 metri quadrati e ha battuto il record precedente detenuto dal Libano. Pesa cinque tonnellate e per srotolarla è servito il lavoro di circa 200 persone per diverse ore; visto il forte vento, è stato necessario utilizzare dei piccoli sacchi di sabbia per tenere il tessuto ben fissato sul terreno.
Adrian Dragomir, manager della fabbrica in cui la maxi bandiera è stata realizzata, ha spiegato che per cucirla sono state necessarie diverse settimane e 70 chilometri di filo. Anche il premier della Romania Victor Ponta e altri ministri sono arrivati nel villaggio di Clinceni. A confermare il raggiungimento di un nuovo record è stato Jack Brockbank, uno dei giudici dei Guinness World Records, che ha misurato personalmente il drappo prima di nominarlo ufficialmente la bandiera più grande del mondo. “Con grande piacere riconosco un nuovo record del Guinness dei primati, congratulazioni alla Romania”, ha poi annunciato.
