BUENOS AIRES – Erano poco più che bambini, e lui, Jorge Mario Bergoglio, il futuro papa Francesco, le consegnò una letterina, con il disegno di una casetta bianca, in cui sarebbe voluto andare a vivere con lei e le disse: “se non mi sposo con te, mi faccio prete”. Come sono andate le cose è noto al mondo, ma a raccontare l’episodio è la fidanzatina di allora, Amalia, oggi una signora con i capelli candidi (vedi foto a seguire), intervistata dai giornalisti argentini.
Amalia precisa si essere stata la ‘fidanzatina’ in un senso fanciullesco: ”non mi propose mai cose cattive”, sottolinea la signora. La letterina, in cui era disegnata la casetta bianca, venne sequestrata dal padre della ragazzina, il quale rimprovero’ la figlia e si arrabbio’ per l’audacia del giovane Bergoglio. La mamma di Amalia strappo’ poi quel messaggio d’amore.
