ROMA – Come ogni anno si è tenuta la North Poe Marathon, corsa che si svolge tra i ghiacci del Polo Nord.
La gara si è svolta in una temperatura media intorno ai – 30 gradi. La maratona è considerata la più fredda del mondo e si svolge su di 42,195 chilometri.
Dato che si svolge sulla “cima” del mondo, la North Poe Marathon ha anche il “privilegio” di essere la maratona più remota al mondo. Nella maschile, a vincere è stato l’americano Michael Wardian che ha percorso i 42 chilometri impiegando un tempo pari a 4 ore e 7 minuti.
