LONDRA – La duchessa di Cambridge, Kate Middleton, ha fatto visita al parco Olimpico di Stratford per incontrare la squadra di hockey femminile britannica, come ambasciatrice del team Gb e del paralimpico Gb. Kate, che capitanava la squadra del suo liceo, Marlborough College, è scesa in campo per tirare su il morale alla squadra in vista dei giochi olimpici di Londra, che si svolgeranno dal 27 luglio al 12 agosto.
La duchessa è arrivata all’Olympic park con i tacchi, ma ben presto ha indossato una felpa grigia sopra jeans color corallo. Poi ha afferrato il bastone da hockey e ha tirato qualche colpo. Rivolgendosi alla folla ha detto che era un po’ di tempo che non giocava. “La mia mente pensa di poter fare tutte queste cose meravigliose – ha detto Kate – ma il mio corpo no”.
