HONG KONG – Fauja Singh è un cittadino britannico di origine indiana che a Hong Kong ha partecipato a 101 anni alla sua ultima maratona.
L’uomo, è il più anziano atleta del mondo, lo aveva annunciato da tempo. Nella giornata del 24 febbraio, Singh ha fatto percorso la distanza di 10 km in un’ora, 32’ e 28.
Tra i suoi record, quello di uomo più anziano a completare la maratona di Toronto nel 2011: ma non è stato riconosciuto dal Guinness perché non in possesso di un certificato di nascita. Singh ha cominciato a correre a 89 anni.
