MANILA (FILIPPINE) – Maali è un elefante che ha 38 anni che vive nello zoo di Manila nelle Filippine.
Maali è al centro di una campagna internazionale che chiede la sua liberazione dai confini ristretti del recinto di cemento dello Zoo in cui vive da quando ha tre anni.
Nel 1977, Maali è arrivato nelle Filippine dallo Sri Lanka. E ‘ stato donato ai bambini di Manila dall “Elephant Pinnawala Orphanage”, dopo che sua madre è stata uccisa dai bracconieri.
