SHIRAZ (IRAN) – In Iran, il 29enne A.S.H. è stato accusato di furto insieme ad altri 9 complici. L’uomo è stato accusato di “condotta immorale e condannato, oltre che a tre anni di galera e a 99 frustate, all’amputazione “di quattro dita della mano destra”.
La sentenza è stata eseguita in una piazza della città del sud di Shiraz: a darne notizia è Iran Human Rights che chiede alla comunità internazionale di intervenire per fermare la campagna di punizioni medievali che le autorità iraniane stanno praticando sulla popolazione. Mahmood Amiry-Moghaddam, portavoce dell’associazione per i diritti degli iraniani IHR, chiede a gran voce alla comunità internazionale di intervenire: “Il governo iraniano vuole terrorizzare la popolazione se la comunità internazionale non reagirà in modo forte temiamo che i bambini cresceranno guardando pubbliche impiccagioni, amputazioni e flagellazioni, soprattutto con l’avvicinarsi delle elezioni del giugno 2013”.
Nei giorni scorsi a Teheran erano stati impiccati due uomini accusati di furto. Uno di loro ha commosso il mondo: prima di morire, era scoppiato a piangere sulla spalla del suo boia.
Il procuratore capo di Shiraz intanto, ha annunciato altre sentenze spettacolari nel prossimo futuro. Amiry-Moghaddam chiede che la leadership iraniana, l’ayatollah Ali Khamanei e il capo dell’autorità giudiziaria Javad Larijani, vengano “giudicati responsabili dei loro crimini”.
