PRETORIA – Uno straordinario diamante blu di 29,6 carati è stato trovato nella miniera di Cullinan in Sudafrica. A quanto si apprende, il diamante potrebbe valere circa 20 milioni di dollari.
Nella stessa miniera recentemente sono stati scoperti altri diamanti: l’anno scorso è stata trovata una pietra di 25,5 carati venduta poi a 16,9 milioni di dollari. Nel 2008 invece, è stato trovato il diamante chiamato Star of Josephine venduto a 9,49 milioni di dollari.
Dal 2008, la miniera che si trova a circa 40 km a nord-est di Pretoria, è della Petra Diamonds, azienda esperta nell’estrazione di diamanti e nota per aver dato i diamanti più grandi e famosi del mondo.
