CANNES – Catherine Deneuve è quasi di casa a Cannes. Quest’anno, l’attrice francese 70enne sbarca alla Croisette con la storia vera di un delitto irrisolto in Costa azzurra. Si tratta di “In the name of my daughter” di Andrè Techiné, fuori concorso a Cannes.
La pellicola racconta la “guerra” dei casinò. Finito il suo matrimonio, Agnes Le Roux (Adele Haenel) rientra dall’Africa e ritrova la madre Renée (appunto Deneuve), proprietaria del casinò Le Mediterranée a Nizza. La ragazza si innamora dell’avvocato della madre Maurice Agnelet (Guillaume Canet), che le fa vendere la sua quota di azioni, mettendo in minoranza la madre. E così, dopo Sharon Stone e Sofia Loren, al Festival del cinema per eccellenza sbarca anche la Deneuve: la bellezza batte il tempo. Chi tra le tre avrà stregato di più, i presenti al Festival?
