CITTA’ DEL VATICANO – Papa Benedetto XVI, subito dopo le dimissioni del prossimo 28 febbraio, passerà un paio di mesi nella residenza estiva di Castel Gandolfo che si trova a Castelgandolfo, cittadina dei castelli romani.
La residenza ha vista sul Lago Albano ed è nota per essere il luogo in cui il Papa trascorre parte delle vacanze. Qui, durante il mese di luglio, il pontefice officia la messa in piazza.
Joseph Ratzinger resterà nella residenza di Castel Gandolfo fino alla fine del conclave. Il Papa però eviterà accuratamente di apparire in pubblico non solo fino all’elezione del suo successore, ma anche successivamente.
