CANNES – Come ogni anno da 14 anni, Cannes ama i cani e riserva un premio tutto per loro. Si tratta di amici a quattro zampe che hanno fatto gli interpreti per qualche pellicola in concorso. Il premio si chiama Palm Dog: quest’anno, a vincere è stato Roxy, il meticcio di Adieu au Langage di Jean Luc Godard.
Roxy ha sbaragliato tutti i concorrenti, tra i quali il labrador Hagen e il bulldog dello stilista Ives Saint Laurent, fino all’attore a quattro zampe di Maps to the Stars di David Cronenberg.
Roxy ha vinto per il fatto che è il protagonista assoluto del film, ed anche per il fatto di essere il vero cane del maestro francese Jean Luc Godard. Godard intanto, malgrado abbia vinto con il suo Roxy (a differenza dei suoi simili, questo cane ha anche un cognome, Miéville, quello della storica compagna del regista, la fotografa Anne Marie Miéville) il restia non è venuto a Cannes ed ha definito il festival “un congresso di dentisti”. E così anche il suo meticcio Roxy Miéville non ha potuto sfilare sul tappeto rosso del festival francese.
