NEW YORK – Al Metropolitan Museum vanno in mostra le celebrità della moda. Si tratta del tradizionale Met Ball, il gala del Costume Institute, che quest’anno coincide con l’apertura della grande mostra dedicata a Miuccia Prada e Elsa Schiaparelli. L’evento vedrà sfilare in passerella i più noti volti del mondo della moda. Madrine d’eccezione saranno la direttrice di Vogue America Anna Wintour, e naturalmente Miuccia Prada. Ospite d’onore sarà invece il fondatore di Amazon Jeff Bezos.
Tra gli ospiti sono attese anche l’attrice Carey Mulligan (musa di Prada), e la modella Kate Upton, che secondo le indiscrezioni del New York Post avrebbe tirato fuori 25 mila dollari per aggiudicarsi il biglietto. E pensare che quest’anno, per la prima volta, il gala è aperto a tutti, almeno virtualmente. Sul sito del Metropolitan è stato trasmesso in diretta streaming l’arrivo delle celebrità, nell’ambito di uno speciale condotto dal giornalista William Norwich e da Elettra Wiedemann, modella di origini italiane, figlia di Isabella Rossellini.
Sul red carpet hanno sfilato diversi volti noti del cinema e della tv: Beyoncé con un vestito che lasciava ben poco spazio all’immaginazione, Rihanna, Cameron Diaz, Stella McCartney, Gwyneth Paltrow, Florence Welch, Cate Blanchett, Jessica Biel e Justin Timberlake (foto Ap/LaPresse):
