La New York Fashion Week, come di consueto viene inaugurata dal “The Heart Truth’s Red Dress fashion show”, un evento benefico che vede diverse celebrities sfilare in passerella con abiti color rosso fuoco. Lo scopo è nobile: raccogliere fondi per la ricerca sulle malattie cardiache che rappresentano la prima causa di mortalità femminile negli Stati Uniti.
A sfilare ci sono attrici, campionesse olimpiche, cantanti e showgirl varie. Tra le star dell’inaugurazione del 6 febbraio, c’erano le sorelle più giovani di Kim Kardashian, Kendall e Kylie Jenner, che hanno sfoggiato due creazioni Badgley Mischka, come la madre Kris.
Oltre a loro, hanno sfilato la presentatric Jillian Michaels, la cantante Toni Braxton in Hervè L. Leroux, Kelly Osbourne in Zac Posen, Minka Kelly con un abito di Oscar de la Renta, e con un abito firmato Pamella Roland, c’era anche Gabby Douglas, l’oro olimpico di Londra 2012.
