LONDRA – Chissà cosa dirà Kate Middleton… Il principe William pare infatti essersi dimenticato per qualche secondo di essere stato educato nella costosa ed elitaria Eton. Nel corso di una rilassata intervista per un documentario realizzato da Itv, che andrà in onda lunedì sera nel Regno Unito, ha pronunciato la parolaccia “bollocking” (in italiano “cazziatone”), che è stata però coperta da un bip per evitare imbarazzi ai reali.
William col fratello Harry stava parlando delle lettere che il padre Carlo inviava ai due quando si trovavano al college di Eton: i principi facevano una terribile fatica a decifrarle e le controllavano col timore che ci fosse qualche “cazziatone” dell’erede al trono per la loro condotta scolastica. Del resto la pessima grafia di Carlo è già nota: non a caso le controverse missive che inviava ai ministri per fare pressioni sui temi a lui cari sono state definite “Black Spider Letters” (le lettere del ragno nero).
Recentemente intervistato in un documentario che celebra i 40 anni di The Prince’s Trust, charity fondata dal padre Charles, William si confessa insieme al fratello Harry. Il principe si racconta, in una serena “chiacchierata” ma non rinuncia a tirare fuori i suoi timori più profondi. La paternità, infatti, ha cambiato molto William:
“Sono molto più emotivo di quanto lo ero prima, stranamente. Di solito non ero troppo imbufalito o preoccupato per ciò che accadeva. Ma ora anche le più piccole cose mi fanno effetto: ogni cosa che succede anche da un’altra parte del mondo mi colpisce, probabilmente proprio perché sono padre”.
Ancora, ha confessato:
“Succede perché realizzi quanto preziosa sia la vita e consideri tutto in questa prospettiva. Anche l’idea di non esserci più, di non poter vedere i figli crescere e cose del genere”.
Infine, confessa la sua paura più grande: “Non essere vicino a loro per vederli crescere”.
