‘The Christmas Sweater’: Glenn Beck Book Subject Of Film Adaptation Talks

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Stephen Scheffer, a former HBO executive who acquired the film rights to Beck’s 2008 novel “The Christmas Sweater,” is moving forward on creating a movie adaptation.

After failing to get to production once Sony picked up the rights, Scheffer told The Hollywood Reporter that he’s in talks with several studios to bring the book to screens.

The book is a fictionalized telling of 12-year old Beck’s last Christmas with his mother, who took her life in the year that followed. A drug addict struggling financially, his mother was only able to buy him a sweater for Christmas, prompting his anger and then, when she confronted him, his understanding of her plight.
