LOS ANGELES — Officials with a Mexican-American cultural center being built in downtown Los Angeles have suspended work on part of the project because of human remains unearthed during construction.
LA Plaza de Cultura y Artes president Miguel Angel Corzo said Friday that it’s in the best interest of the center and the community to put the project on hold.
