If you enjoy the fresh smell and environmental benefits of a real tree on Christmas, you might be looking for the best way to dispose of the holiday purchase right about now.
Fortunately, the City of Chicago is once again offering an easy (and green) way to recycle your natural tree.
From January 1 through January 17, residents can bring their holiday tree to one of 23 participating sites throughout the city. The trees will be chipped and made into mulch–which will then be available for pick up beginning January 7. For a full list of participating locations, click here.
